Wonderfully subtle. I can imagine some if her more enthusiastic visitors making certain alterations to the cut out that are reflected on Carrie in real life (and I love the name change!)
I like the idea of life imitating art, and there's a strange liveliness to the cut out. I find the fingers and toes quite creepy/seductive.
Thanks on the choice of name as well, it's something that always vexes far more than it should. It was quite easy for Cliff Richard to sing "goodbye Sam, hello Samantha" but for me it can be quite a trial to find complimentary male/female names for stories.
